One of the great benefits of the structure from motion technique for making 3d models is that imagery does not have to be gathered for photogrammetric purposes. This gives us the possibility of re-purposing old photographs. Here, we have used a set of 20 black and white images taken by Leo Swan in 1973 of the Knowth excavation to give us a 3 dimensional snapshot in time.
