More model informationThe fortified Early Gothic church in Kraskovo (now Evangelical) dates back to the first half of the 14th century and was built on the site of an older structure. In the 15th century, it was fortified with a wall, and a wooden bell tower was erected in 1657. The single-nave space has a painted coffered ceiling from 1758, while the chancel is vaulted with a cross ribbed vault.
The wall paintings date from the 1360s and 1370s, with the author of part of the frescoes being the Master of the Ochtina Presbytery, who painted churches in Ochtina and Kocelovce.
The church also houses other valuable furnishings: a medieval stone baptismal font (13th century), a Renaissance altar and pulpit from 1668, and a Baroque patron’s pew (from 1731).
