This monument was created in tribute to Isabel Bourbon, daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the great great grandmother of the current King of Spain. She was also known as the Princess of Asturias or “La Chata” which is a reference to her snub or “button” nose. Located near to the entrance of the Parque del Oeste, it made of white marble and was inaugurated in 1955.
