Lakon ASP-E1 (explorer) community model [WIP]3D Model
The Lakon Spaceways have this model long enough, but the version presented here is early unit from 3292 year, 5 years before current-grade FSD is released. So, this means the ship has old layout and different crew, as well the travel is not fast enough, not up to month already, but also not less than minute in hyperspace…
The ship uses previous human produced hyperspace engine by Metadrive, and by this year it means the travel will take hours, maximum a day or two if you travel very close to top jump range. And the massive upgrade in 3297 will turn this ship into model E2, our current ASPX in usage.
The stats you can see now is version 2, with simple interiors, still indev, but base layout is done. This config means modular bays too, like in Elite, but ship have some living space as well, not just crewquarters on deck 3, but also galley below. Differences is 3 crewmembers + 5E zone replaced by 4E, you need to fit some internal equipment in there, but don’t worry, it logically has more space in 6E area.

Since U14's failure of broken warzones and in result taking us like trash (see resets of the systems defence gameplay) I will make this alternate ASPX, with different internal structure. But partially still based on modular bays.
I will definately step off game mechanics of selecting free bay to ANY module, it becomes nonsence in some cases.
Engines inspired by other model, I might replace grid modules to unified near rectangular, later...
This one is favorite, and model, and ship ingame. Also no wings and tail stabilizers for now. Ask me something if you wanna know more about the model.
The cockpit displays will be different too, same as now, but not holo-projected, they will be transparent panels, like current targeting screens in jetfighters.
Sorry for all-in-one anims, trying to find best ways to displace 'em without bugs.
Also a note, central bay on the cargo hatch will be tornet 180 deg, and rear 2E + 3E bays should be reworked, 3E + 1E to frontal side (behind lower cockpit zone) is also not too good. I will continue on this, please enjoy the idea and have at least some interiors, which the ED:O still doesnt' have...
