Granite boulder found in a cairn field near Housey Crags, near Langleeford, 4 miles SW of Wooler Northumberland.
Referenced on the Beckensall Archive (BA) as ‘Langleeford’, the archive describes the rock as having 2 cups. NADRAP Team 3 recorded the stone in 2006, describing the stone as:
“There are two definite cups, most probably artificial but roughly formed (due to the granite), in the middle of the upper surface. They have diameters of 0.04 m and 0.05 m and are placed close together. There is potentially an arc on one of the cups but with the nature of the stone it is very difficult to be sure…”
