Possible prehistoric carved rock in the Lanshaw area of Rombalds Moor, West Yorkshire.
This possible carved rock sits in an area of rubble banks, cairns and other carved rocks. It’s thought to be reference ‘IAG335’ in Boughey & Vickerman’s 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’, where it’s described as:
‘Medium-sized, rounded, triangular rock of medium grit, up to height of heather at centre. Two cups, of different size, and perhaps another.’
The CSI: Rombalds Moor project recorded the stone ‘Lanshaw 02’ on ERA in 2013, noting similar motifs.

This model has been created from a single stereo pair captured by Richard Stroud in February 2013. The imagery forms part of the HLF funded CSI: Rombalds Moor / Watershed Landscape Project archive.
