Large cave - TEST - LQ mesh (no textures) 3D Model
First test scan of a large natural cave: “Grotta Sopra Longera” Trieste, Italy. The wood bench and pallets give you an idea of the actual size of the cave. Scanned with RTAB-Map in 4 times. The external scan has a large mis-alignment at the center of the terrain. Point-clouds of the four scans aligned in Meshlab. This is just a low quality test. The original point cloud in RTAB-Map “.db” files is very large, in total 850MB. I need to learn how to apply textures to low poly models like this one. I think I’ve made a mistake with the settings since in my first test with a small cavern I got a better and more defined color map https://skfb.ly/ZnQ8
