The helmets are iron, covered with gilded copper, the dome of which consists of two bowls. They are fastened with hemispherical rivets. In the first helmet - all parts: the bottom of the dome, neck protection and cheeks - have holes for fixing the lining, as well as the connection of parts between each other. In the second helmet, the nasatynilnik and cheeks are not preserved. Ceramics and coins dated to the reign of Emperor Constantine II (337-361), found nearby, suggest that the helmets can be dated from the middle of the 4th century AD to the first quarter of the 5th century AD.
