The body of Christ lies on a silver-plated cloth (bolus visible in many places). The loincloth is gilded. The left hand lies on the chest. The stigmata are visible. The head is tilted slightly to the left. The feet are slightly bent. The back is hollowed out. Made by Josef Schnitzer (1706-1769), a member of the Cistercian family at Heiligenkreuz Abbey. Lime wood; l 43 cm; 1st half of the 18th century.
