I don’t think I have much to say about this one since it was a spur-of-the-moment idea. But, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the old fairy tale illustration books and realized how much I like the soft pastel watercolors, ornate flora embellishments, and whimsical vibe that they have. This piece features a bunny doll that comes to life and starts acting like a chivalrous hero that at times is a little too eager to do heroic deeds.

Aside from the character, I’m pretty happy with how the environment turned out in particular. It’s simple but, I feel like the dainty aesthetic really adds to the overall presentation. Originally the environment was going to have color but, I chose this white and blue color scheme so that the focus of the scene is fixed squarely on the character. I might post the colored version sometime later if I end up liking it, but for now, I’m calling this project good. On to the next one!
