Back in October 2019 volunteers lead by Team North took aprt in a weekend training event to survey and record Second World War era pillboxes in the Rimac Nature Reserve Lincolnshire.
The team recorded three pillboxes during the course of a day, with Chris and Sam surveying a fourth the following day at Donna Nook.
During the surveys our volunteers measured each pillbox and recorded each structure’s vital stats and features using a methodology developed to help others record wartime pillboxes. During the survey, it became very clear that each pillbox was unique
