This is a raw 3D model created with Bentley ContextCapture from photos taken with a Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR II Lens. The photos were “Fine” quality .JPEGs with no editting.
This model was done as part of a tutorial video on basic photogrammetry.
No de-lighting, colour correction, downsampling, or 3D mesh fixing or sculpting has been done.
The subject is “Locavore”, a bronze sculpture by Mary Anne Barkhouse (https://www.mackenziepublicart.ca/mary-anne-barkhouse/). Locavore sets a snowshoe hare and a Western coyote in close proximity to each other. These two species are closely associated in the boreal forest ecosystem, which occupies more than half of Canada’s land area and is of great ecological significance. Locavore inverts the predator-prey relationship, drawing attention to the delicate balance inherent to any complex ecosystem and pointing to the consequences of ignoring our own interdependence with the environment
