Badik lompo battang or badik taeng is a traditional weapon from the province of South Sulawesi. Badik lompo battang means big-bellied. This badik is known to be fierce and bloodthirsty and must touch blood in a fight. This badik has a flat blade, the belly is distended and sharp, and is pointed at the end. Its short size and tiny shape make this weapon easy to carry to various places. Badik taeng has several parts, namely Pangulu or badik handle, Sumpa’ Kale or badik body, and Banoang or badik sarong.
