Junanlähettäjän virkalakki on kuulunut Emelie ”Milly” Tojkanderille (1866-1939), joka oli ensimmäinen nainen asemapäällikön virassa Suomessa. Hän työskenteli Valtionrautateillä eri tehtävissä kaikkiaan 48 vuotta ja yleni harjoittelijasta kirjuriksi ja asemapäälliköksi. Lakki on Valtionrautateiden virkapukukaudelta 1929-1950. Lakin yksityiskohdat, merkit ja värit kertovat kantajansa ammatista ja tehtävästä rautateillä.
Train dispatcher’s uniform cap Belonged to Emelie “Milly” Tojkander (1866-1939), the first female stationmaster in Finland. She worked in the Finnish State Railways in different positions during 48 years. Cap is from State Railways’ uniform period years 1929-1950. Details, marks and colours of the cap tell about the owner’s position and profession in the railways.
