Prehistoric carved rock found in the Low Plain area on Baildon Moor, West Yorkshire.
Yet another ground level carved rock found amongst a cluster of carvings and other prehistoric remains in the Low Plain area. Boughey & Vickerman referenced the stone ‘IAG 163’ in their 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’, describing:
‘Medium-sized oval rock of degraded rather coarse grit, low in ground. One cup, and perhaps others, much weathered.’
The later CSI: Rombalds Moor Project recorded the stone ‘Low Plain 14’ on ERA in 2012, they also described the single cup, plus a possible ‘worked’ bedding plain.
