Lucio Fontana - Chinelli Funeral Monument3D ModelNoAI
Born in Rosario, Argentina, Lucio Fontana (1899-1968) lived and worked in Italy, where he became one of the most important artists of the 20th Century. Known for the slashes paintings (the “spatial concepts” series), Fontana was the creator of Spatialism, with which he looked for a third dimension in painting. He was also a prolific sculptor with his interest turned on by classical art and by materials such as ceramics and gold. Paolo Chinelli Funeral Monument is one of the best examples in Fontana’s sculpture at the Monumental Cemetery in Milan. It represents a strange angelic creature, maybe inspired by Nike of Samotracia, that appears as though floating in the air, inside a concrete cube.
