this “magic mirror” is actually a Buddha, showing the viewer exactly what they need to see in order to get closer to their own awakening. Analysts are unsure of whether or not this entity is an advanced form of superintelligent life or a highly sophisticated artificially intelligent technology. The locals of the area are not concerned with such questions — like whether or not the entity is dead or living, unthinking or sentient — because for them the only thing that matters is that the mirror does what it is supposed to do, and does it well.
