解説 / Description:
団扇が4本ついた扇風機で、後方についている取っ手で2本のひもがかかった盤を回し、団扇の羽の中心を回転させる仕掛けとなっている。蒔絵まで施されており、まさに高級家具といった面持ちである。国産の電気扇風機が作られたのは1894年（明治27）で、1918年（大正7）には量産されるようになる。羽は4枚の金属製で、カバーもスタンドも鋳鉄が使われ、黒一色の堅牢なデザインだった。
It is a fan with four fans, and the mechanism is to rotate the center of the fan feathers by turning a board with two strings attached to it with a handle attached to the rear. It is even decorated with maki-e, giving it the appearance of a high-class piece of furniture.
