Mary, Albert, and Rholandus Jones Tombstones3D Model
These three tombstones, all belonging to the Jones family, are located in Evergreen Cemetery. Mary, the owner of the central stone, was married to Isaac Captain Jones. They had four sons - Albert, Ransom, Rholandus, and Maynard - and at least two daughters - Francina and Elvira. Ransom and Maynard lived full lives, but Albert and Rholandus died at 22 and 19, respectively. Albert was killed by his sister Elvira’s suitor after they had an argument when the suitor, James O’Brien, came to call on Elvira one Sunday. After Mr. Jones kicked Mr. O’Brien in the head, Mr. O’Brien shot at him thrice, missing once, but then landing a shot on his shoulder and, once Mr. Jones was down, his mouth. Mr. O’Brien was brought to trial and found guilty of manslaughter. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
