The Mary Stewart was 21metres sailing ship which was reported sunk in Scarinish harbour in 1938. It has become an iconic part of the island’s heritage. There is more detail online, including an entry on Canmore at https://canmore.org.uk/site/102548 That entry includes one report from 1969 stating “The vessel will probably disappear by 1975” which was clearly eroneous!
