More model informationMas Colom is a singular building, just one km from Tàrrega, where I live. It was found archaeological evidence of human presence during the Iberian period (2,500 years ago). In the late nineteenth century it became a convent that hosted a group of monks who fled the French Revolution. At the beginning of the 20th century the monks built a neogothic building and in the 20s it was abandoned. During the civil war (1936-1939) it became a military hospital. During the 50’s was acquired by the Pont family, local entrepreneurs producing olive oil. Soon the building will be restored, which will become an interpretation center for olive oil and nuts.
