This mastodon (Mammut americanum) vertebra was 3-D scanned with a Go!Scan50 scanner in December 2018 at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Repository specimen number ANSP 13300. It was recovered from Big Bone Lick, Kentucky. Courtesy of the Academy of Natural Sciences. A Virginia Commonwealth University Seed Grant supported the research trip that made this scanning effort possible.
