McQuarrie Class early TOS era Explorer

Influenced by the Ralph McQuarrie concept art of the Enterprise for the cancelled 1977 movie Star Trek: Planet of the Titans. The USS Discovery from “Disco” was based on the very same concept art. However the McQuarrie is a completely different ship. This is the second version of her that I made. The first version was made in 2001 for an old classic Homeworld project. She shares components from the Detroyat Class. Like the Saucer, and Nacelles, but the rest of her i tried to make reasonably close to the concept art. With a little artistic license thrown in. While the design is more from the TMP era, I chose to make her an Early TOS era ship. Her role is exploration, cargo transport, and support. She can be used as a “light carrier” due to her huge hangar bay. Which is exactly what i used the original version for in Homeworld 1.
