More model informationA medium tank designed in 1941, the Me-BT 2 was a moderately large medium tank.
To reach a top speed of 55 kilometers per hour, it needed a fairly large engine and was designed with a taller hull than usual. Instead of mounting the planned 90mm RL-HV gun, it used a 75mm BL-HV gun to compensate for the heavy weight of the engine. You know, instead of giving it thinner side and rear armor… but oh well.
