Mecha Sonic MK. 1 (Sonic 2)

This is Mecha Sonic, the 2nd-to-last boss from the SEGA Genesis game Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Generally agreed upon to be the “first” Metal Sonic, this guy was one of my favorites because he gave me the most “game overs” as a kid.

This model is specifically based off the recently recovered Sonic 2 Concept Art of Mecha Sonic, which reveals many more details about his design that don’t come across in just the sprites.
