More model informationMedieval Pedestal of Wayside Cross, Sollom, Lancashire. The stone cross will have been removed hundreds of years ago, with the pedestal becoming a religous object. Rain watter collected where the cross used to be, was considered holy water, and funerels would stop at these pedestals and bless the coffin with the water on the way to the church.
