The Mediterranean seagrass Posidonia oceanica forms dense meadows from the surface to 40 m depth. This is a key species that supports the most diverse ecosystem of the Mediterranean Sea. The meadow on this model is located in the Bay of La Ciotat in the South of France. Its specificity is to grow on a rocky substrate which is uncommon for a seagrass species.
This model was made using the technic of underwater photogrammetry.
