More model informationI’m no paleontologist, but I believe this is a megalodon tooth. It was a gift from a student whose car wouldn’t start while working in the Ocala National Forest. Through sheer force of will (and an archaeologist’s grip), I was able to force the starter and ‘save’ the student. So grateful was their mother they gifted me this as a thank you. This is the first model produced with my new photogrammetry set-up, which uses cross-polarization to remove glare and reflections from images. This model was produced from 188 images in AgiSoft Metashape, with final processing in Blender. Tooth is accurately scaled and textured.
