The scene shows a frame of an MHD simulation of a system formed by a K type star and a planet of the size of Jupiter. The simulation is made with PLUTO code (Mignone et al., 2007). Given the short separation, the atmosphere of the planet is evaporating and forms a tail behind the planet. Furthermore, part of the gas is launched towards the star and precipitates on it. The work is based on Matsakos et al. (2015) and Pillitteri et al. (2015).
