The new Middleton Hall was commissioned by Sir William Paxton and built between 1793 – 1795. The mansion sat within one of the finest Regency Waterparks of the day. Upon Paxton’s death in 1824 it was purchased by Edward Hamlin Adams. The Abadams family lived here until 1919 when the estate was sold to Colonel William N. Jones in 1919. The mansion was destroyed by fire in 1931. This digital reconstruction depicts the mansion was it was built in 1793 – 1795 and the drawing room as it would have looked during the time of the Abadams family.
