Ground level carving found towards the western end of the Middle Ridge part of Middleton Moor, to the north of Ilkley.
This small rock measures approximately 0.65m x 0.5m and has a design consisting of three small cups (each around 3cm in diameter), one with four complete rings and a partial ring, one with three rings and the central cup with a single irregular ring.
Unfortunately, this was one of many scheduled carvings around Ilkley and Middleton Moors that suffered graffiti attacks in 2009/10, with black substance traced around the motifs. Thankfully, the substance proved not to be permanent and the graffiti was gone after 18 months.

The carving is referenced ‘IAG482’ in Boughey & Vickerman’s 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’.
It has not yet been recorded through an ERA linked project.
This model shows the stone as it stood in May 2010 and was created from just three photos.
