Carved outcrop near Millstone Burn on Longframlington Common, Northumberland.
This area of outcrop has been quarried with equidistant feathering marks still visible on the quarried northern vertical face. Recorded on the Beckensall Archive (BA) as ‘Millstone Burn 6h’ and having a single cup, it was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. The NADRAP team describes:
“Single cup on the edge of a quarried outcrop, measures about 6cm diameter. Possibly a natural erosion feature.”
