Mitreo of Sutri (VT - Italy ) - 3D light model

I was invited to a lighting design contest from the city of Sutri, in Italy, with my friend Arch. Vincenzo Bellini, for the project Giubileo della Luce, created by ANCI.

Mitreo of Sutri is the sweetes etrurian place in Italy, and you could see it here!

As i do from years, i went to the site to do the surveying. I took around 30 pictures and a short clip. I extracted the frames from the clip without editing them (this time), because the natural light was perfect.

Initially the model was around 2 millions polygon, than i did a topology’s optimization on the ground surfaces and the trees. Then the triangles percentage was equilibrated, so i could decimated it again two times, in order to obtain this model.

In Sketchfab luckily i could replicate the real light design project (almost) because i was planning to use 3 lights (that is the limit of Sketchfab). I choose a 2500K light, i convert it in RGB, than from RGB to HEX. I hope you enjoy it!
