My modular assets are inspired by stylized cottages. I went for a woodland theme with a prioritization of the wood material to keep consistency within the props. All the textures are made by me using Substance Designer, Painter, and Zbrush. I created a stone bridge, lamppost, singular wall, floor, window, roof, wall for the roof, corner wall, mailbox, fence, and a window for the roof. When texturing, I wanted to go for a stylized approach to mimic handpainted brushstrokes with color variation. I kept realistic elements in the stone to increase its believability when UV unwrapping with intense normal maps to give the illusion each stone ( notable in the bridge ) is it’s own geometry. After observation of other modular assets, I kept the models as low poly as possible so I could have all the efforted detail within the texturing. The pieces can be placed together to create a small house.
