Mongolian arrow, 13th-14th century Ukraine

Heavily eroded iron arrow from the late 13th-14th century AD late cuman burial. Extracted during the excavations in Dnipropetrovsk region in 1999. The wooden part is relatively well preserved.

Artefact is stored at Dmytro Yavornitskiy Dnipro National Historical Museum.

The model was digitized in the course of the project “Preserving Ukrainian Legacy,” supported by the US Embassy in Ukraine (Kyiv) and the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation. It is a joint ownership of Dmytro Yavornitskiy Dnipro National Historical Museum, non-profit organization “CyArk” and NGO “Scientific Research Lab “Archaic”.
