Monte Albán, Main Plaza / Plaza Principal3D Model
Monte Albán is located in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca (“wah-hah-kah”). The site was established around 500 BCE and is recognized as one of Mexico’s first cities. The site covers a series of hilltops lying within the broad Valley of Oaxaca. The Main Plaza (seen here) was the civic-ceremonial heart of Monte Albán, consisting of a large rectangular space that was surrounded by monumental structures.
This is a low resolution model of the part of the archaeological site of Monte Albán that is open to the public.
