Monument to Queensland suffragist, Emma Miller3D Model
This monument stone in Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, is dedicated to suffragist and unionist, Emma Miller (1839–1917). The Australian Dictionary of Biography indicates that she was called by the “proud title of ‘Mother Miller’ and ‘the grand old labor woman of Queensland’ “. In 1917, The Worker newspaper in Toowoomba described her as “only a little handful – so frail in body – but she had the courage of a lion and her energy was marvellous… Her keen intellect, her magnetic personality and above all her wonderful devotion to the cause were a continual source of inspiration … as a champion of the rights of women she was without equal…”.
This model was created on Monday 25 July 2022 by Year 9 History students using Polycam3D.
