This is my first test using MOPS-CLI to create a command line post processing pipeline for optimising scans. I’ve borrowed a model from a colleague (https://skfb.ly/WtWq) consisting of 3.3M vertices (6.6M faces). The model was first loaded into CloudCompare to reset the orientation to Z-up and then run through a basic drag and drop script to create this model. It contains numerous manifold faces.
mops.exe –read_config “iuv_config.json” -i %1 –Make_Compact -w “%~dp1\%~n1-web”
Default application settings were modified via a config file file including:
- Z-up
- Increasing vertex count to 20,000
- Enabling ambient occlusion, displacment maps
- Increasing texture size ot 8K.
- Centering geometry
The texture map contained the AO map and was copied to a separate map file before filling the texture with 90% grey. Vertex colours on the model are set from AO. Materials settings in Sketchfab are unchanged from the initial upload.
