More model informationHecho por Jose Lugo Arroyo. Fotos por Alex Elvis Badillo. This a wood carving made by my grandfather, Jose Arroyo Lugo. It represents an ethnographic scene from early to mid 20th century rural Puerto Rico. In this scene a woman is carrying water from a nearby spring to her house in an old tin. The tin was originally used to store ‘Manteca’, or Lard.
