Museum of Mineralogy and Petrography “Grigore Cobălcescu”, of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, Iaşi, Romania. The Museum is housed on the 2nd floor in unit B of the University (Department of Geology). The building was completed in 1963, until then the collection was displayed in the main building of the University (unit A). The first mineral and rock collections were founded in 1863 by Professor Grigore Cobălcescu.
