Ne Zha:Tripo3d 2.5 and Hei:Hunyuan 3d 2.03D Model
This is a test to see the current state of 3d model generation from a single image. The source images are shown behind the characters that were used.
Ne zha (left character) was done with Tripo3D 2.5
Hei (right character) was done with the open source Hun Yuan 3D 2.0 generator.
It isn’t quite apples to apples since one character has a lot more lighting detail since it is already 3D (Ne Zha). I did do minor texture cleanup on both of them and had to use the “Grab brush” a bit in blender to make the Hei character a bit more 3D. The sides of the models especially had blurry results.
The output results still need work when they come out of the generators. I could see hese tools be used currently for base model generation to sculpt on top of, or potentially static 3d models that are seen from far away.
