More model informationNebo Hill projectile points are long lanceolate styled tools with straight to concave bases. They are often elliptical in cross section with the widest portion of the blade being at about the middle of the tool. The tool style was named by J. Mett Shippee, a noted archaeologist from the Kansas City area, who recorded the type site of the Late Archaic culture in Clay County, Missouri. The tool pictured here was recovered from this site by KU excavations in 1976.
