“Newport mechanical clock” otherwise known as “In the Nick of Time,” is a mechanical clock created by Andy Plant for the 1999 Ebbw Vale Garden Festival and later moved to Newport, although it no longer functions as intended. This clock was the subject of commissioning by Newport Council and featured hidden characters that would be revealed hourly.
