Site R, near Ramsgill in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire, England.
A landscape incorporating multi-phase activity including walling, enclosures and the remains of two circular structures thought to be the remains of probable Iron-Age round houses built on distinct earlier remains. The excavations also revealed a clay lined pit, fires, flagged areas and various phases of stone dumping including fire cracked cobbles.
Model created from aerial imagery captured after the final phase of the excavation was completed on 17th June 2017.
The excavations were conducted as part of “Our Farm Heritage” work stream, under the Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership scheme led by Nidderdale AONB and funded by the HLF: http://uppernidderdale.org.uk/historic-nidderdale/our-farm-heritage/
