Canister shot were containers filled with shrapnel that, when fired, delivered a multi-object blast to an opponent. This piece is found with iron ballast and round shot at a place on a shallow reef thought to be the 1827 grounding site of the British Royal Navy schooner Nimble. Model created July, 2018.
