Outcrop on private farmland near Whitton Dean, south of Rothbury, Northumberland.
This area of exposed outcrop is referenced ‘North Lordenshaw 6e’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. The NADRAP team describes:
“Motifs are separated and grouped at each end of panel; i) group of three cups; two large and one small with another possible small midget. One cup in first group is particularly deep 0.045m and well-formed. ii) one cup with definite grooves, serpentine, to edge of panel, downslope. Also in this second group two large shallow cups and one poorly formed.”

The model was created from 5 stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson of NADRAP Team 3 in December 2005. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
