The National Security Cutter or Legend Class Patrol Boat is the US Navy patrol boat class, its designed around a common low cost hull and reliable combat systems. Its modular design allows it to be expanded to include VLS and heavier weapons. The most common variant is the Legend class which is equipped with a 57mm cannon, a 20mm CIWS system, and 2 20mm Mk 32 cannons. Its equipped with the same communications array as larger AEGIS type ships without the long range radar. The Legend can support up to two helicopters for ASW warfare and 4 RHIB boats for boarding and inspection duties. The crew can stay at sea for up to 45 days with the class being able to reach up to 24 knots and range of over 1000 km.
