An old factory made of brick. After a long time it has fallen to disrepair and a tree now sprouts out from its shadowy interior. I made this project over the course of one week to explore the ways I can blend aspects of nature and structure in a scene. I am satisfied with the way it turned out. The tree is interwoven with the building in a way that is pleasing to me. Another goal of this project was optimization. In the past I have struggled to depict things like grass and trees without using geometry as a crutch. This time I achieved the look of the bricks, trees, and grass in a way that is very light on geometry and depends more on normals and opacity mapping. Take a look at the wireframe and I’m sure you can agree this approach was not that bad. I would classify this project as Mid-Low Poly with textures overweight at 2k.
I used Autodesk Maya, Adobe Medium, 3Dcoat and Substance Painter and No A.I. !!!!! This is my own concept that I quickly executed myself and I had a blast.
