Olds Highway Exit Abandoned Gas Station

This station is visible from the Queen Elizabeth (Number 2 north) Highway as you pass the Olds exit on the north side. It used to have highway access but that has since been removed. It has been a gas station, was known as a place that sold Pies and rumor has it that an Earls restaurant used to be here. It is still marked as a white water rafting company on Google Maps.

The gas pumps and large signage were there in 2003. Google street view shows large graffiti covering the side of the building facing the highway.

This station was difficult to photograph because of the weeds which surrounded the building, as well as the direct sunlight which cast shadows. Some of the textures are ‘inspired’ by what was photographed.
