The 92 ft two mast schooner Olive Branch was built in 1871 in Picton, Ontario. At the time of its sinking it was carrying a cargo of coal off False Duck Island, Lake Ontario. The ship sank in a gale and the sinking was witnessed by captains of three other vessels which were too far away to render assistance. The entire crew of five perished with the ship.
